The 6’ x 9’ rug size option is optimal for standard size rooms which measure around 10’x10’ or smaller. The 6’x9’ rug size would lie under the bed while exposed on both sides providing a soft landing when getting in and out of bed.

The 8’ x 10’ rug size is better for larger rooms that measure around 12’x12’. For a room this size, you can lay the rug so it is exposed on both sides of the bed and the foot of the bed but exclude the nightstand and have the carpet start about 1/4 way down the bed length.

The 9’x12’ rug size would be best for rooms 14’x16’ or larger. With the 9’x12’ rug size, you can simply center the bed on top and have the bed and nightstands all resting on top of the area rug.
